Armenian Travertine Mining Company’s (ATMC) processing factory is situated in Yerevan and occupies a territory of 30.000m2. The industrial territory covers 7.200m2 and the administrative territory 1.500m2. A new modern production line of the Italian company GASPARI MENOTTI for processing of natural stones and tile production was introduced in the manufacturing process of ATMC in 2008. Annual production output is 170.000m2 of tiles. The production line makes it possible to produce a wide range of tiles from out of the same travertine block.
A range of high-quality resins and cement, produced exceptionally by various leading European companies, are used in the production of tiles. Prices of the tiles are defined according to the level of processing of the stone, as well as the filling used. Tiles are cut by straight or reverse method, after which they undergo a few levels of processing. Accordingly, sawn and calibrated, honed, semi-polished and polished tiles are produced. They can be filled and not filled (porous). Filling is carried out by cement or three types of resins - non-transparent, transparent and of mother-of-pearl color.
